All About Me |
Hello! My name is Megan Carlton. I am the Family and Consumer Science (FACS) teacher at TMS.
I am excited to begin my fifteenth year of education. This will be my third year teaching at TMS. I have lived in Tonganoxie almost all of my life (I lived in Manhattan for four years while I earned my bachelors of education degree… GO Wildcats!). I also earned my Masters of Education degree from MidAmerica Nazarene. My husband, Chad, and I have two kids that attend Tonganoxie Elementary. Noah and Lila keep us very busy with all of their sporting activities. We love Tonganoxie and love raising our family here! FACS Course Description: Courses are designed to provide students with a hands-on experience of Family and Consumer Science related topics. Students will learn food and kitchen safety techniques, as well as apply kitchen math and measuring concepts to the foods they make. Students will also learn basic sewing and mending skills. Students will also explore character education and qualities that make a good citizen. Students will learn skills to prepare themselves mentally and physically for critical life skills they will need to become young adults. I love teaching and love working with middle school students. Please feel free to contact me any time with any questions or concerns you may have! Contact Information: Email: [email protected] Phone: 913-416-1470 Plan time: 7:55-8:30 |
